Dear colleagues and friends,
Continuing the series of successful Tendon Transfer Seminars we are pleased to announce the organization of the 10th Seminar on Tendon and Nerve Transfers of the Upper Limb on fresh frozen Cadaveric Specimens which will take place on April 3rd - 5th, 2025, in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The Seminars refer not only to hand surgeons but also to trauma specialists who want to enrich their knowledge on reconstructive hand surgery. Our aim is to provide you with a reliable toolbox of operations and techniques that can be applied at a variety of hand injuries as well as at tetraplegic patients.
Under the guidance of our international and national faculty, you will have the chance to practice techniques you already know, learn algorithms to deal with hand injuries, the basic principles of tendon transfers and also get answers to any questions you might have. There will also be plenty of opportunity to catch up and exchange experiences during the welcome reception.
The Seminar features four theoretical Sessions for the main tendon transfers for radial, ulnar and median nerve palsy followed by practical workshops on cadaveric specimens after each Session. It is organized by the Orthopaedic & Traumatology Association of Macedonia and Thrace in cooperation with the 1st Orthopaedic Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, "G. Papanikolaou" General Regional Hospital.
The theoretical part of the Seminar will be held at the Teloglion Fine Arts Foundation while the educational program on fresh frozen cadaveric specimens will take place at the at the Laboratory of Anatomy and Surgical Anatomy of AUTH. As hosts and organizers we shall spare no effort in making your participation scientifically rewarding and as meaningful as possible.
